Film Your Own Lego Animation

If you want to make professional stop motion videos,

First, 

You need a camera before you start filming. You can use your smartphone,

But if you rather edit on a computer, or your phone camera isn't great, or for whatever reason, Here are 3 really good cameras for stop motion.

Two, 

YOU NEED A TRIPOD. If you don't have or use a tripod, your camera or phone will move a little everytime you take a picture, and you don't want that to happen in a stop motion video because it will look horrible when it"s done.

Three, 

Studio lighting. If you don"t already have lamps Studio lights will make your video look more bright and clear.

If you're a beginner you don't need any of this, you can just use what you have,

If you want to use your smartphone to film a stop motion video.

First, you're going need to download a stop motion animation app.

Stop motion studio is one of the best apps for animation because it has So many editing tools, and is vary easy to use. It's free, But if you want all the editing tools it is $5. Here's what you get for five dollars, Green screen software, drawing tools, You can add text into the stop motion video, and more. The app is available on iOS and android.

Two, now you need a tripod for your smartphone to keep it steady when you're filming.

Luckily you can build one for free out of lego, or buy one for under 20 dollars.

Three, set up the lighting. Get some lamps laying around the house,

or if you don't have any you can buy them. You need two, or three Lamps, Put one on each side of the desk or table that you're using,

Adjust the lamps while you're Looking at the screen on your phone or tablet until you're Happy with brightness of the image, and then just put a book or something heavy on the bottom of them so they don't move.

Four, FPS. FPS means frames per-second. 15fps is usually what most people use because it's not to fast, and not to slow. You can play around with it until you're happy With the speed of the video.

Five, set up everything before you start filming.

Make sure the whole scene that you're going to be filming is Complete. That means tape down the Lego boards so they don't Move around while you're trying to film, make sure there is nothing shiny in The picture that the Lights  will reflect on to, adjust the lighting, Focus the camera in the right spot, get your characters ready.
